Our company began its journey back in 1929 when Joseph Carpenter started a delivery service out of his own house.   With one canvas back truck he made deliveries between Burlington and Middlebury, Vt.   Times were tough then but he established a loyal customer base that has grown many times over through the years.   While there have been many changes and developments in all of those years, the succeeding generations at Carpenters have all stayed close to those founding principals of good business.

Hard work, dedication to a job well done and a personalized level of service are still at the heart of what we do today.

We at Carpenters now operate a full service terminal conveniently located just off I-89 in the fast growing town of Williston just outside of Burlington,Vermont’s largest city.

With a fleet of over 30 tractor/trailers and straight trucks Carpenters offers a wide variety of transportation services.
